What weights you have to use depends on the weights you have used so far and whether the scooter is in its original condition or whether it has been technically modified. We advise you to weigh and measure the old weights if you are not sure. The weights of the variator are subject to permanent wear when riding. Due to the centrifugal force at increasing engine speed, the weights in the variator slide outwards in their raceway and thus shift the variator and shift the gear ratio. The contact surface of the weights is quite small, they get flattened after a few thousand kilometers and must therefore be replaced, otherwise poor shifting behavior and later damage to the variator would be the result.
